Clay County Writers Brainstorming Session Number One

Brainstorming GroupOn Wednesday, March 6, 2013, the Black Horse Winery (BHW) filled with excited, energized voices as local writers with varying levels of expertise from a wide range of genres came together around the table for the first ever Brainstorming Session. Led by Linda Shilling Mitchell, this group of 12 discussed various marketing techniques and strategies for both the seasoned and novice author alike.

It is our hope to make this an ongoing event and greatly look forward to the next one to be held on April 3rd from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., once again at the BHW, when Maureen Jung will lead us through a technique called Mind Mapping.

Hope to see you there!

Happy Birthday!

The new year will bring many things, among them the third anniversary of the start of the Clay County Writers group.

Maureen Jung had a vision of helping writers network with other writers, publishers, agents, and media specialists. Her vision became reality in January 2010 when she hosted the first Clay County Writers group meeting at the Flemming Island library. Since then writers in the area have met the third Wednesday of every month.

Join us on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6:15 – 8:00 at the Orange Park library, our new home, to help us celebrate three years of writers helping writers. More information on the primary content for the evening and any guest speakers will be posted as they come available.
